So ya see, this blog started out as a place for those searching for recaps for their favorite TV shows.
It was fun in the beginning. I recorded a couple of episodes for Erin Martin’s Podcast (Pink Shade with Erin Martin) and had a blast. I don’t own a tv so I never watched the shows “live”.
I always watched the next day, on the apps while taking notes. Then I would write my recaps.
The whole process started to become exhausting. There were days I would wake up at 5am only for my son to wake up at 6am.
I felt like I was pushing against circumstances that were beyond my control and it made me depressed.
I don’t have anyone who can take care of the kids while I write and I just couldn’t keep up with the shows.
What many of you don’t know is that I’m a SAHM. My husband works long grueling hours (the grass isn’t always greener, trust me 😔) which leaves everything else up to me.
I have 2 children that I feel like I’m raising on my own. My youngest will be 3 next month and he has significant developmental delays. My oldest is 4 going on 16, so I need to tighten the reigns with her.
My days are never easy. My mom lives over an hour away and works full-time. I don’t know anyone where I live. I never get a break.
I don’t remember the last time I did anything for me. I feel myself slowly slipping into a deep depression and no longer recognize myself.
To replace traditional therapy, I read self-help books that do help when I do the steps but then I forget and sh*t goes left.
Rolling into the new year, my goal is to continue with my self-help journey.
I want to believe in myself again and be the woman I was before marriage and kids. Y’all don’t know this, but I was a boss b*tch and my self-confidence was through the roof!
Now that 2019 is upon us, I plan on posting personal blog posts as well as some recaps. I hope to be more open and candid as a blogger.
I hope you continue with me on my journey of self-love and self-discovery. The kid is back y’all!!
This week’s episode took so many unexpected twists and turns. There were a lot of ups and downs. I was shocked that everyone accepted their proposals and can’t wait to see next week’s episode. Let’s dive into the recap…
Let’s dive right on in to this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days!!!
Angela and Michael
After returning from the beach, Michael is in Angela’s room, begging and pleading with her to take him back. She’s upset over the BJ situation and has pegged him a liar. She’s completely done with Michael.
Michael is worried about not being able to get to America because he lied to her.
They get back to the hotel and Angela is furious. She doesn’t know what the future has in store for them.
They go out to dinner the next night and Michael tells her she’s been like a mother to him 😂😂😂. Angela tells him she feels like he’s scamming her. He’s trying to reassure her that he’s genuine and not using her to get to America.
Angela tells him that he has a few days to fix their relationship. He brings out a cake that says “I love You” and she instantly forgives him. She’s in heaven while eating the cake so all is well with the world.
Ricky and Ximena
Ricky is sitting at the table looking like a an dummy. Ximena had every right to walk off and collect her thoughts. She walks back out to give Ricky the chance to explain himself.
Ximena starts crying while hearing Ricky do a terrible job at explaining the entire situation.
The next morning, Ricky tries to be all suave and act like telling a woman she was plan b wasn’t like a stab in the heart.
Ximena feels like she wants to give Ricky another chance. Ricky promises to be open and honest with her going forward. Yeah right, Ricky!!
Darcey and Jesse
Jesse’s been back in Amsterdam and the relationship is starting to fizzle out. Darcey’s cousin, Monique, is doing her hair at the salon and trying to get the 411 on Darcey’s relationship.
Darcey says that the communication has slowed down and they’re still getting into fights over little things. I don’t understand why she’s holding onto something that isn’t clearly working.
Jesse tells Darcey he’s going to visit her in a week which has Darcey thinking he’s going to propose. Jesse doesn’t feel like things are going in a healthy direction with Darcey and is going to New York to have a serious conversation with her.
Jesse’s friend tells him to face time or call her instead of flying thousands of miles. I think Jesse might also have some kind of work gig lined up in NYC and figured he’d kill two birds with one stone.
I can’t with these two!! They’ll be back together by the time the Tell All airs.
Jesse lands in NYC to break up with Darcey. She’s taking the train into the city with what looks like everything she owns. He really should’ve broken up with her over the phone.
She’s schlepping all of her stuff all over Manhattan just to have to turn around and go home. He should’ve told her to pack light or something.
Rachel and Jon
Rachel and Jon are getting married, y’all!!! His sexual history and anger management issues haven’t scared her off. I can’t say that I’m shocked. Rachel needs to practice self-love. Easier said than done, I know!
Rachel is sitting down with a lawyer, with Jon on video chat, to figure out how to get him to the US as quickly as possible.
Looks like his criminal past is standing in the way of their modern day fairy-tale. Could this possibly be a GOOD thing?
They are going forward with the wedding planning and unfortunately, Rachel’s family and friends won’t be able to attend.
Her ex-husband won’t let her take her older daughter and her father won’t be able to walk her down the aisle.
Rachel goes to try on wedding dresses with Lucy and her best-friend SHeri and has a mini breakdown in the dressing room.
She tells us she used to be a size 0 and that her body isn’t the same after having her children.
She tries on a $750 dress and can’t afford to buy it, but at least she found a style that she liked.
Tarik and Hazel
Tarik whisks Hazel off to the El Nido for some romance, *wink wink*. I don’t understand why he’s expecting her to drop her pants when she doesn’t really know him. I still think she’s using him to get out of Manila, though.
There is zero spark between them and Tarik is the only one that doesn’t see it. It has nothing to do with their lack of intimacy but in her body language and facial expressions. She’s just not that into him.
Tarik charters a boat for himself and Hazel. I’m not going to lie, the views are breathtaking! Tarik was complaining about getting a kiss on the cheek and it’s clear as day that he wants something more.
While frolicking in the clear blue waters, Hazel forces herself to tell Tarik that she loves him and a shady producer asks her if she really loves him.
She surprisingly says yes but I think she loves that American dollar. I think we need to call the Family Chantel to investigate.
Marta and Daya
Marta starts packing for her trip to Algeria. She talks to her daughter and lets her know that if Daya proposes, she would tell him to move to America because she can’t leave her and her brother behind.
Marta video chats with Daya to tell him she needs a letter of invitation from him. This is so she can get her visa to visit him in Algeria.
While video chatting, he notices that she’s wearing a necklace with a cross on it. He looks off to the side, maybe he’s talking to a family member or friend, and tells them she’s wearing a cross.
He gets visibly upset and ends the chat. Huge red flags here!!! If he gets angry over her wearing a necklace, what the heck is he going to do if she talks about anything relating to Christianity? I honestly don’t want to find out.
I don’t think this is a good match. Dare I say… even worse than Darcey and Jesse. Daya’s religion and traditions are extremely important to him and Marta doesn’t appear to be interested in becoming Muslim. This is a recipe for disaster folks!
Paul and Karine
Paul is at what appears to be a coffee shop and decides to video chat with his mom about his situation with Karine.
Paul’s mom thinks that there are way too many differences between the two. She also wants him to head back to the US because she doesn’t think anything is going to change.
Paul’s got some thinking to do.
He gets a text that Karine is at the clinic and he runs over there. Literally.
She says she took a test and it says that’s she’s pregnant. The doctor is ordering blood tests to see if she really is pregnant.
The test comes back positive and Mother Karine basically tell Paul they can raise the baby without Paul. He wasn’t too happy about that.
Well… this might be better for everyone. Paul’s a loose canon and a baby can add an immense amount of stress to an already fragile relationship.
That’s all she wrote folks. This was such a good episode and I can’t want to see Darcey blow up next week. I’m starting to side with her because it’s apparent that Jesse enjoys torturing Darcey. She needs to focus on herself and her daughters.
This episode had some very explosive moments and we’re starting to see everyone’s true intentions. The foreigners want to come to America and the Americans want someone to control and mold into their “perfect spouse”. Keep reading to find out what our favorite couples have been up to.
This was THE episode to watch. There was so much going on between the couples and I’m so glad these people signed up to do the show. These people have some serious mental/personality disorders and I’m here for all of the hot mess they choose to share with us.
Bachelor in Paradise is most certainly picking up the pace and I’m here for all of the drama that’s ensuing. Ladies are giving out the roses this week, which has the guys scrambling to make connections, which may or may not be genuine.
